The international port of Den Helder has been a crucially important hub for the offshore energy industry in this region for over 40 years. More than 155 exploration and production platforms are in easy reach and the nearest wind farm is just 17 nm away.
This sheltered harbour, has direct deep-water access, with no obstacles no locks and is not or non tidal. It is perfectly located for Operations & Maintenance activities and as a renewable and refurbishment work base, situated at the heart of the Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy assets in the Central and Southern North Sea.
Given the strategic location and decades of experience in the offshore sector, Port of Den Helder knows what its clients need. It is geared to maintaining quick and easy turnaround times, delivering optimum and efficient services thanks to rapid vessel handling and central logistics, all of which contribute to lowering costs in the supply chain.

Port of Den Helder keeps on developing infrastructure, such as its inner harbour and a new quay. The port now has 850 m of ISPS certificated quay and quayside space of 15,500 m2.
